I haven't ruled out an event, but while I work on planning something, I need to start fundraising because if I don't, my credit card is going to be charged $3,250 in a little over a month. While that might be good for my air miles, it won't be as good for my bank account so I'd like to avoid that scenario if I can. That's where you come in! $3,250 sounds like a lot of money, but all I need is 95 people to make a donation. If 10 people give $100, 20 people give $50, 40 people give $25, and 25 people give $10 I'll reach my goal. Please consider making a donation. Any amount will help, and all donations are tax deductible and go to the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism. The Flutie Foundation helps raise awareness about the challenges of living with Autism, and it helps families find resources to address those challenges.
The easiest way to donate is through my FirstGiving site. All major credit cards are accepted, and it's totally secure. If you're more comfortable writing a check, you can make it out to "the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation" (please put my name in the memo line). You can give it to me in person or mail it to:
The Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism, Inc.Thank you for your support! I'll start blogging about running again next time, but this was kind of a necessity.
